It’s a sure sign that the car show season is ending when the Hooter’s Cup has it’s Grand Finale Show. For the 98 it was a great series with 2 Top 10 Finishes and 2 Top 40 finishes out of the 7 shows attended. It’s the show that everyone wants to go to, with some very nice cars and a lot of trophies. And oh yeah, did I mention the Hooter Girls??

If you don’t know what the Hooter’s Cup is, it’s a series of 11 shows at all of the Chicagoland Hooters. The shows give out about 50 awards each, top 40, top 10, and then Best of Show. And with every award, points are awarded. Simply put, the more awards the more points… and the one with the most points gets the Grand Championship. This Year’s winner was nice 56 El Camino. A stunning ride to say the least!

So in closing, it’s been a fun ride! And as the few final shows come and go this year, I’ll look forward to making another run at the cup!

It was a fun 2 day event in Joliet this weekend, and The 98 took home 2 awards at the 2009 NMCA Musclecar Nationals. On Saturday The 98 took home Best Truck, and on Sunday took 2nd in the Top Truck Class. Yes, 2 awards for one event!
